"Moanin'"

Blogun ilk haftasında caz tarihinin en iyi şarkılarından oluşan bir liste oluşturmak istedim, ancak böyle bir liste oluşturmaya çalışmanın beyhude bir çaba olduğunu gördüm. Bu nedenle Blue Note "A Story of Jazz" seçkisinin ilk CD'sini kullanmaya karar vedim. Jazz tarihini kapsamaktan uzak olsa da seçilen şarkıların her birinin mükemmelliği ve performansların ustalığı tartışılmaz sanırım.
Moanin''de Art Blakey'e Benny Golson (t. saxophone), Lee Morgan (trumpet), Bobby Timmons (piano) ve Jymie Merritt (bass)'ten oluşan The Jazz Messengers eşlik ediyor.
